Dennis P. is shy, overweight, bankrupt and too old to be living with his parents again. He has been bullied his entire life and when it comes to money his luck is just as bad: a diamond expert who bet his company on red at the casino only to roll black. But Dennis’ luck seems to change when he lands a job with leading diamond seller Gassan Diamonds in Amsterdam. Dennis quickly becomes a well-liked and valued colleague. He can always be relied on to switch shifts. After all, he doesn’t have anything better to do.
One day temptation gets the better of him and — while no one is watching — he sneaks a diamond ring into his pocket. Then he just deletes the ring from the stock list on the firm’s computer. It couldn’t be simpler! No one has noticed a thing! Dennis pawns the ring and spends the proceeds in sex club. There he meets Tiffany and - posing as a wealthy diamond merchant - lures her away from the businessman she was “entertaining”. Dennis has the night of his life. The next day all he can think about is Tiffany. But... if he wants to see her again, he needs money. So he steals... again… and again… and again.
Based on an incredible true story of how an ordinary man made off with millions of euros worth of diamonds without anyone suspecting a thing. “Dennis P” is definitely not who you expect him to be.
